Account and data deletion

1. Open Hiruu and sign in.
2. Open Profile, then Settings, then Delete Account.
3. Complete the security confirmation and confirm deletion.
4. If the account owns an active business, transfer ownership, close the business or contact support first.

Email [email protected] from the account email where possible, with the subject “Delete my Hiruu account”. Include the account email or phone number, your name if present on the account, and whether you use Android or iOS. Do not send a password, identity document or unrelated sensitive data unless Hiruu gives a secure, necessary verification method.

• The account enters pending-deletion state and stops appearing in profiles, search, business views, job pages and shared endpoints.
• Active sessions and refresh tokens are revoked, push tokens are disabled, and linked Sign in with Apple authorization is revoked where a revocable token is held.
• Newsletter and optional marketing subscriptions are unsubscribed independently of transactional deletion notices.
• Deletion jobs erase or anonymise account, worker, job, profile, listing, application, schedule and preference data according to category and relationship.
• Generated CVs, profile media, chat attachments and other user-controlled files are removed from active storage and deletion is sent to the relevant storage processor.
• Authored chat and support message text, mentions, pins and attachments are erased; read receipts, call participation and call-quality or recording references are cleared.
• Provider identifiers and user-linked processor data are deleted where Hiruu controls them and no legal retention basis applies.

Hiruu starts final erasure immediately and keeps the account hidden. A narrow future-shift record may delay completion until the shift closes, and a processor retry or manual reconciliation may delay confirmation. The combined pending window is never more than 30 days. Hiruu confirms completion or explains any verification or legal-retention issue.

Records involving another person or business are not silently falsified. Where removal would damage their legitimate record, Hiruu removes the deleted user’s direct identifiers and limits access while retaining only the minimum record needed.

• Minimum payment, subscription, refund, tax and accounting evidence required by law or an active financial dispute, for no longer than 10 years.
• Minimised employment, signed-contract, schedule, attendance, leave and payroll records that an authorized business must retain, for no longer than 10 years.
• Resolved report, moderation and appeal evidence for 24 months, or restricted evidence for an active fraud, safety, legal-hold or dispute need.
• The exact Terms and Privacy version, locale, content hash and timestamp, together with minimum deletion evidence, for 6 years.
• Minimum security and completed processor-deletion evidence for 90 days. Authored chat or support content and call-participation data are not retained under this category.

Retained records are access-restricted, excluded from product discovery and deleted or irreversibly anonymised when their statutory period, dispute, safety need or legal hold ends.

Protected backups remain encrypted and access-restricted and expire through a rolling rotation of no more than 35 days. They are not used to restore a deleted product feature. The removed Wellbeing feature and its data cannot be re-enabled from backup. If disaster recovery restores an older technical snapshot, deletion tombstones, account restrictions and the Wellbeing purge migration are replayed before normal access resumes.
